More than 100 years since kicking off construction, the Sagrada Familia's build-time finally has an end in sight. According to Elle Decor, the project is projected to finish in 2026—144 years after the first architect laid the first brick. The bassilica is most famously known for its second architect, Antoni Gaudi, who took over one year into the building in 1883. The UNESCO World Heritage site is known as one of Gaudi's most well-known pieces of work—and for good reason, considering he worked on it until his death in 1926. Coincidentally, the finish date is set to hit at the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death—the perfect commemoration.
