Looking for a cocktail worthy of a Valentine's night in? How about "The Love Story," a slightly fizzy, easy-peasy cocktail created at the Cast Lounge inside the picturesque Viceroy Santa Monica.
“The name comes from our partnership with Sugarfina Candy, and finding out randomly that the owners had their first date here at the Viceroy,” says hotel manager Matt Shough. “We wanted to do something that tied in with that so we found out that their favorite candy is the Kir Royale and we made a cocktail based on the date that led to their marriage. It’s a great drink for Valentine’s Day because it has a champagne base and has a romantic story to it.”
1/2 oz. Creme de Mure Blackberry Liqueur
1/4 oz. lemon juice
Equal parts white wine and sparkling wine
Method
Mix ingredients and serve in a champagne flute. Garnish with Sugarfina Kir Royale cordial.
