The wildly popular MadrEAT food truck festival is going strong after its first full year.
Anyone visiting Madrid and hankering for fine global street food should swing by Madrid’s AZCA Plaza, near the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, for the XI edition of MadrEAT. Held the third weekend of every month all year long, the fair was created for and by “foodies from around the world.”
This weekend’s edition will feature more than 60 Spanish and international vendors serving innovative takes on Japanese, Argentine, Vietnamese, Mexican, Sicilian, Chinese, American, and Spanish cuisine. In many of the food trucks and stalls are chefs from some of Madrid’s most popular restaurants, such as Arzabal, Chifa, Diverxo, Kabuki, Kena, Mama Framboise, Sudestada, and Triciclo.

Joining them for the first time this weekend are Bicca (calamari), TUK TUK Asian Street Food (pork brochettes), Empanadeta (short rib empanadas) and Jhook (lobster rolls and shrimp tempura sandwiches). There will also be outdoor concerts, DJ sessions, and other performances to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the fair, which has grown exponentially in popularity in a short time: More than 70,000 visitors attended last month’s edition. MadrEAT will be open today and tomorrow from noon to midnight, and on Sunday, October 18, from noon until 6 p.m.
