Calling all Soul Cycle fanatics: the indoor cycling giant is setting up shop at Miami Beach’s brand new 1 Hotel South Beach, set smack dab on Collins Avenue. Come early fall, guests will find a whopping 2,600-square-foot facility, complete with a 54-bike studio, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and a boutique selling cool athleisure-wear (because you’ve gotta look good while you spin.) Right now it looks like it will be the brand's 54th studio.
The recently opened 1 Hotel South Beach is the first location for Barry Sternlicht’s new lifestyle hotel brand, which is also set to debut its second outpost in midtown Manhattan, 1 Hotel Central Park, this summer. With a strong eco-focus (the hotel in NYC made it a point to use reclaimed woods, as well as boasts an in-house Tesla) and celebrity chef partnerships (Tom Colicchio is running the show Miami; Jonathan Waxman up north), this is a company targeting younger, affluent travelers who are conscious of design, community, and sense of place.
