Arguably the worst part of winter is the fact that you can't comfortably enjoy your favorite cocktail on a roof. Bar 54 at the Hyatt Times Square in New York City has something to say about that, mainly in the form of giant "bubbles" that you can drink, socialize, and just generally be in on their roof. The bar area features two of the bubbles, complete with mid-century furniture where you can perch and take in views of the Chrysler Building, Times Square, and the rest of Manhattan from 54 floors up.
Heads up: There is a two-drink minimum for each Bubble guest and advance reservations are recommended. Really, it's a small price to pay for the completely over-the-top experience of drinking and dining from your own personal rooftop bubble.
