Grand Central Station in New York City is still one of the most historic and glamorous places in the city. The sights in the travel hub during the 1940s may feature the same design details you can visit today (minus a few wartime-specific calls to action), the people are arguably the subjects in these throwback photos. Vintage fashions are topped with delicately coiffed hairdos, gentlemen recuperate from a post-New Year's Eve hangover melted over the station's steps, but the food lines look much as they do today (with significantly nicer servingware).
