When it comes to destination-inspired fragrances, the scent of New York City is probably far from the top of most people's wish list, as its signature smell during the summer could reasonably be described as eau de hot garbage.
Fortunately, Chesapeake Bay chose to showcase the more ambrosial side of NYC with a line of candles, diffusers, and wax melts inspired by the blooms of The New York Botanical Garden. Launching this May, each of the collection’s scents—Sweet Azalea, Verbena Basil, Provence Rose, Water Blossom and the limited-edition Peony Bouquet—was directly inspired by a specific location within The Garden’s 250 acres.
The line’s packaging also reflects the landmark with archival illustrations adorning all jars, vessels, and votive sets.
Even better, three percent of the proceeds from the line will directly benefit the Botanical Garden and products will be sold both at NYBG’s Shop in the Garden and at select retailers nationwide.
