A photo contest has been created to honor 20 years of chewed gum displayed at the Pike Place Gum Wall.
Act fast: Pike Place Gum Wall—one of Seattle's quirkiest attractions—is living its last days as a sticky, tooth-marked tourist attraction. To commemorate the wall's 20 years in existence, a contest has been created asking gum wall fans to submit their attraction photos.
People around the world are gathering to snap photos with the slightly gross tourist attraction. Want to get in on the action? To enter the Gum Wall Snap! Contest, take a photo with the Gum Wall, tag it with #GumWallSnap, and submit it to the contest Facebook page. The photographer whose photo has the most votes will win local celebrity status in the form of a galvanized steel Market Charm—which will hang from the railing of the new MarketFront—as well as two tickets to an improv show inside the building (Market Theater) that has hosted the Gum Wall for the past two decades. Stop chewing that gum and get snapping!
