We know people are vacationing at malls. But until now, the question has always been "Why?" But the Printemps Mall near Shanghai has just shared the next biggest justification for planning a trip around a shopping destination since half-priced Uggs: a five-story slide. The 60-foot stainless steel slide was designed to resemble a dragon and only takes the rider 16 seconds to shoot down.
The ride was unveiled earlier this week, but won't be open to ride until February 22nd. While the slide itself will be free to anyone whose sick of escalators and wants to know what it's like to shoot down the center of a shopping mall in seconds—as long as you're above the age of three.
The Internet has been a-buzz with the news, but not all reactions have been positive—some even citing it as a cause of death. That being said, mall management has assured the public that the ride has been through the proper testing. Slide on, thrill seekers.
