Saint Aubin Sugar Plantation

Built in 1819 from wood of dismantled ships, the plantation is an homage to a life in Mauritius that no longer exists. Tours of the old sugar mill and vanilla house are also available, giving travelers an opportunity to see how two of the nation’s sweetest delights were processed during the 1800s.
