The most easily accessible dunes to M'Hamid are the 100m-high Erg Lihoudi (Dunes of the Jews), located 8km northeast of M'Hamid. Characterised by their white river sand due to their proximity to the Drâa, they are frequented by a higher number of daytrippers and some of the semipermanent camps are in need of attention.
