Tsolwana Nature Reserve is 60km southwest of Queenstown. The park is managed in conjunction with the local Tsolwana people, who benefit directly from the jobs and revenue produced. It protects some rugged Karoo landscape south of the spectacular Tafelberg (1965m) and adjoining the Swart Kei River. The reserve’s rolling plains are interspersed with valleys, cliffs, waterfalls, caves and gullies. There is a diverse range of animals including large herds of antelopes and mountain zebras. Wildlife viewing is possible in the park’s vehicle (up to four people R315).
