Staffed by dedicated volunteer guides from the Muizenberg Historical Conservation Society, this thatched-roof cottage, designed by Sir Herbert Baker, is now an engaging museum where you can learn all about Cecil Rhodes, who died in the front bedroom in 1902. The cottage has pleasant mountainside gardens, which are a lovely place to rest and spot whales during the season.
