About 1.5km east of Shait Gumbad, and directly north of the road that leads to Mazhar Khan Jahan Ali, this splendidly chunky 15th-century mosque is singularly impressive. It contains the largest mosque dome in Bangladesh, spanning 11m and supported by 3m-thick brick walls. The mosque’s interior is plain, but the main mihrabs are decorated in floral patterns.
