Plunging into the dense Cambodian jungle below, this is one of the country’s most impressive falls. Famous throughout the country, this double-drop waterfall has an upper tier of some 10m and a spectacular lower tier with a thundering 25m drop. Getting here is a 33km, one-hour journey east of Sen Monorom on a mostly sealed road.
To get to the bottom of the lower falls, cross the bridge over the river and follow a path to a precipitous staircase that continues to the bottom; it takes about 15 minutes to get down. The snack stalls and sellers lining the path to the bottom of the main falls are to relocate to a purpose-built dining and market area under the management of the Mayura Zipline team, including attractive wooden picnic pavilions for dining and a more sophisticated range of dishes than is currently on offer.
