TIME : 2016/2/17 11:33:00

Behind the riveting good looks of the Capital Museum are some first-rate galleries, including a mesmerising collection of ancient Buddhist statues and a lavish exhibition of Chinese porcelain. There is also an interesting chronological history of Běijīng, an exhibition that is dedicated to cultural relics of Peking opera, a fascinating Běijīng Folk Customs exhibition, and displays of ancient bronzes, jade, calligraphy and paintings.

Bring your passport for free entry. The small teahouse on the 2nd floor sells tea sets (from ¥500) as well as serving tea (from ¥15 per cup).

Come out of Exit C1 of Muxidi subway station (Line 1), and you'll soon see the museum on your right (200m).
