Military enthusiasts may get a rush at this hulking monolith of a building topped with a communist star. Cold War–era fighters, tanks and surface-to-air missiles muster below, while upstairs bristles with more weaponry. The Hall of Agrarian Revolutionary War and the Hall of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea are a truly revolutionary tour de force of communist spin.
At the time of research, the main building was closed as part of a massive, seemingly never-ending renovation project. But a large collection of tanks, aircraft, artillery and military vehicles are on view in the forecourt, which is free to enter (bring your passport).
