Yalong Bay is more attractive and less crowded than Sānyà’s other beaches, though with fewer shops and vendors budgeters might want to bring their own food and water. It offers a wide range of activities, including jet-skiing, banana boats, snorkelling and diving.
China’s beaches are theoretically open to everyone but at Yàlóng Bay there can be a quasi-official fee if you’re not staying at one of the beachfront resorts. To avoid any sporadically enforced, quasi-official beach entry fees, walk through one of the hotels rather than entering the beach from the main square. No one will bother you.
