The world's first permanent museum dedicated to the 1989 pro-democracy protests in Běijīng's Tiān’ānmén Square. The 800 sq ft space has artefacts, photographs, books and microfilm related to the incident including casings of bullets supposedly fired by the People's Liberation Army and T-shirts signed by the Běijīng student leaders such as Wang Dan. A copy of the Goddess of Democracy statue built by the students stands at the heart of the museum.
