This intriguing three-floor museum follows the technology of money production in China from the spade-shaped coins of the Spring and Autumn period to the coinage and paper currency of the modern day. You'll find chunky gold-nugget coins, coins inscribed with beautiful Chinese characters, 'money necklaces' containing strings of small bronze knives, and all five sets of the modern-day rénmínbì, only two of which are still in circulation.
