Dotted with small waterfalls that make for a vivid contrast with the red sandstone dānxiá cliffs of the gorge, also known as Yángjiāyán, there are impressive photo opportunities here, particularly if the sun is shining, when the red earth really stands out.
Minibuses make the 16km journey here from the local bus station next door to the main bus station (¥6, 40 minutes, five daily from 8am to 4.30pm).
