This large Taoist temple complex, rebuilt in 1993, is on the opposite bank of the Shing Mun River channel. It’s dedicated to Che Kung, a Song-dynasty general credited with ridding Sha Tin of the plague. The best time to visit the temple is on the third day of Chinese New Year, when hordes of worshippers come here to rotate the sails of the copper windmill inside the temple for good luck.
