One of Pǔtuóshān’s two large beaches – the other is One Hundred Step Beach – both on the east of the island are attractive and largely unspoilt, although periodically you may have to pay for access; swimming (May through August) is not permitted after 6pm, but it’s lovely to plonk down on the sand in the early evening in warm weather.
