Closest to the train station is the No 6 Bathing Beach, a short strip of sand and tidepools, next to Zhàn Bridge , a pier reaching into the bay. At its tip, the eight-sided Huílán Pavilion is constantly packed to the rafters. If the pavilion looks familiar, that’s because it’s on every Tsingtao beer label.
