Replacing the slum camps that once lined the Sabarmati River, this new waterfront promenade will eventually stretch for 10km through the heart of Ahmedabad. It’s a pleasant place to stroll, popular with families and young lovers, and boat rides (motor and pedal) are available. Still very much a work in progress, you can see the plans for the finished park on its website. The waterfront can currently be accessed from numerous points on the western bank of the river.
