The hush of this 19th-century neo-Gothic church makes an interesting contrast to the frenetic activity of Trichy’s Hindu temples. In the cool, green campus of Jesuit St Joseph’s College next door, the dusty St Joseph's College Museum contains the creepy natural history collections of the Jesuit priests’ Western Ghats excursions in the 1870s. Ask at reception on the left as you approach the museum and someone will probably let you in.
