Located in the northwest corner of Ram Bagh, this museum is dedicated to Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the ‘Lion of Punjab’ (1780–1839), who founded the Sikh empire, wresting large areas of northwest India from the Mughals. A vast diorama depicts the maharaja’s greatest battles, complete with booming battle cries and other sound effects. Cameras and shoes are not permitted inside.
