Several monastery ruins are scattered up a hillside leading to a small museum and a hillock crowned with a shallow stupa. During excavations of the stupa in the 1970s, a casket containing gold and silver relics was found. Like Ratnagiri, Lalitgiri is also notable for its surrounding village atmosphere.
