Ubud Palace (Puri Saren Palace)

Ubud Palace (Puri Saren Palace) has served as the home for the city's royalty since the late nineteenth century, and Ubud's royal family members still reside in these structures located in the middle of downtown. Surprisingly, the complex is completely open to the public, and visitors are free to explore the various pavilions and mix of ornate Balinese and European furnishings.
For those dreaming of residing within palace walls, Ubud Palace has half a dozen rooms open for overnight guests. Probably of greater interest to most visitors are the nightly traditional dance performances staged in the palace courtyard.

Ubud Palace is located right at the city's center at the intersection of Jalan Raya and Jalan Monkey Forest. It is hard to miss, and admission is free. A traditional Balinese dance show is performed in the palace's open courtyard every evening at 7:30 p.m.
