Tegenungan Waterfall
Tegenungan Waterfall is a true paradise for travelers seeking to escape the rush of Bali’s city streets and urban centers. Its raging waters tumble over black stone cliffs into a quiet pool that’s perfect for swimming, soaking and relaxing. Travelers can lounge on the rocks, soak up the sun or wander the trails that lead to epic views from atop Tegenungan.
A second secluded temple bathing site that’s located nearby draws plenty of locals looking to get away from it all and proves the perfect place for visitors to get a taste or rural life. And while this destination is ideal for every traveler, it’s important to note it’s necessary to climb about 100 steps to reach the falls—and of course climb back up them when it’s time to leave.
Practical Info
The falls are accessible by driving from Denpasar to the village of Tegenungan Kemenuh in Giayar. From there, travelers must walk to the Tukad Petanu River to reach Tegenungan. Entrance fee is 10,000Rp per person.
