The descendants of the sultans now live in the Balai Kuning, a handsome whitewashed mansion with a peaked shingled roof that was gifted to the royals by the Dutch on 11 February 1932. There are numerous artefacts from the days of the sultanate here. Call the day before to arrange a tour; otherwise admire it from the street.
