Site of Sari Club
Across the street from the Bali Memorial Wall is where the Sari Club stood before it was destroyed during the 2002 bombings. Its now a parking lot.

Public Museum of North Sulawesi
This museum features a large display of traditional costumes, and an exibit illustrating traditional pottery-making. There are captions in English.

The conspicuous Yudha Mandala Tama monument commemorates a freedom fighter killed by gunfire from a Dutch warship early in the struggle for independence.

Pura Dalem Ning Lan Taman Beji
Tanjung Benoas main Hindu temple features a nicely carved triple entrance. Its a short walk from the peninsulas Chinese Buddhist temple and the mosque.

Lampulo Boat
The most famous of the tsunami sights is the boat in the house in Lampulo, and the 2500-tonne power-generator vessel that was carried 4km inland by a wave.

Air Terjun Tiga Tingkat
A spectacular three-storey waterfall close to Teluk Kabung, by the village of Koto Lubuk Hitam. It’s an hour’s hike up to the base of the falls for swimming.

Bukit Barisan Military Museum has a small collection of weapons, photos and memorabilia from WWII, the War of Independence and the Sumatran rebellion of 1958.

Built to house a sultans seven daughters, this original rambling wooden compound fights against gravity among well-kept gardens in a quiet neighbourhood.

Mesjid Raya Sabilal Muhtadin
This large flat-domed mosque looks like something off a Star Wars set. During Ramadan, the famous Pasar Wadai (Cake Fair) runs along the adjacent riverfront.

Batubelig Beach
Kerobokans beach is equal to more famous beaches north and south. You can walk along the curving sands northwest towards popular spots as far as Echo Beach.

The towering Monumen Mandala is a smaller version of Jakartas Monas (National Monument), and celebrates the liberation of Irian Jaya (now known as Papua).
