Meguro-dōri, the broad boulevard that runs southwest from Meguro Station, is Tokyo’s de facto interior design district (MISC stands for Meguro Interior Shops Community). Design shops punctuate a 3km stretch of Meguro-dori, starting roughly around the Parasitological Museum. There is something for everyone here, whether your tastes run towards antiques or industrial. Even if you’re not planning to shop, it’s interesting to poke around and imagine what Tokyo’s concrete box apartments might look like on the inside. Buses that run along Meguro- dōri can take you back to Meguro Station (¥210).
