Panoramic views of Sapporo can be had from this scenic ropeway and cable-car system, which runs up to the top of Moiwa-san (531m) to the southwest of the central city. You are on the gondola (ropeway) for five minutes, then on the cable car for two more to reach the top, from where there are magnificent views. You can easily access the ropeway by taking the tram to the Rōpuwei-iriguchi stop, and then hopping on the free shuttle bus.
