Morning Market (Talat Sao)

Two stories of restaurants, fruit stands, vegetable vendors and jewelers make up one of Vientiane’s most popular markets—Talat Sao. Traditional crafts, handspun silk and unique local instruments are just some of the finds travelers walk away from the morning market with. Higher-end goods, like electronics and jewelry, can be found in the air-conditioned wing of Talat Sao, while lower-priced souvenirs are stationed in the overflowing original Morning Market section.

The Morning Market is located at Lan Xang and Khu Vieng Roads. It is open daily from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. It is near the Vientiane Post Office.
