Between Teluk Bahang and Batu Ferringhi is the Tropical Spice Garden, an oasis of tropical, fragrant fecundity of more than 500 species of flora, with an emphasis on edible herbs and spices.
To get here by bus, take any Teluk Bahang-bound bus (RM4) and let the driver know that you want to get off here.
You can explore the grounds on your own, or join one of four daily guided tours at 9am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
The garden also offers cooking courses , there's a good shop, the restaurant is worth a visit, and just across from the gardens there's a beautiful roadside white-sand beach.
