This museum consists of six galleries devoted to Muslim culture and Malaysian history. The five domes represent the holy Five Pillars of Islam. It's in need of a facelift and an update, but can fill up an hour or two of a slow afternoon.
To get to the museum, 2km south of the city, catch a bus (RM1) along Jln Tunku Abdul Rahman and alight just before the mosque. It's a short but steep walk uphill to the museum. A taxi will cost around RM10 to RM15.
Bus 13 also goes right round past the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and stops near Jln Muzium (look for the Sacred Heart Church).
