Dubbed a 'living museum', this little village of 85 homes, including 52 in the traditional Malaccan style, is open to the public as a tourist destination but is still very much a real and functioning kampung (village). It might sound like visiting would be invasive but in fact it's not and as long as you don't get there at the same time as a tour bus, walking around is a relaxing experience and you'll meet plenty of welcoming people.
