Run by Roland, the Kudat Turtle Conservation Society is based at the Lupa Masa Bavang Jamal Homestay. An education centre has just been built here and it's possible to assist the society on night vigils of local beaches to protect the eggs of green and hawksbill turtles. Check the website for a list of long-term voluntary positions.
