Dating back to 1901 (some sources say 1909), this is the oldest Malay club in KL and said to be where the meetings took place that led to the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO; the lead party in the ruling coalition). The original club building was demolished in the late '60s. In 2007 a local architectural firm constructed an exact replica, which is located across from the new club at the back of a field.
