Maroon and white and decorated with arches, the noble District Offices are located off Jln Lipis on a hill 1km south of the town centre.
The offices overlook the exclusive Clifford School , a grand public building that began life as the Anglo-Chinese School in 1913. During the occupation, the school served as the headquarters of the Kempetai (the Japanese secret police).
