This wooden replica of the palace of Sultan Mansur Shah, who ruled Melaka from 1456 to 1477, houses an open-air cultural museum. The fine recreations were crafted without the use of nails and closely follow descriptions of the original palace from Sejarah Melayu (Malay Annals; a chronicle of the establishment of the Malay sultanate and 600 years of Malay history).
