This large arch with a soldier on horseback flying through it towards the enemy is one of the more dramatic pieces of Stalinist architecture in Mongolia. Mosaics depicts cavalry stampeding into battle behind it. A small Soviet tank next to the monument saw action during the 1939 Khalkhiin Gol war.
