Khan Khökhii National Park (220,550 hectares) An important ecological indicator and home to musk deers, elks, red deers and wolves.

Unknown heroes grave
Near the river bank theres a modest memorial marking the unknown heroes grave, where 90 nameless Mongolian men are seeing out eternity

Eej Khairkhan Nature Reserve (22,475 hectares) About 150km directly south of Altai, the reserve was created to protect the general environment

Mukhar Shiveert
About 1km before the museum is a second ice valley called Mukhar Shiveert; visitors may be required to pay an additional T3000 to visit the site.
