This attractive church is home to the famous bamboo organ, built between the years of 1816 and 1821. A particularly lean period, the Spanish priest Padre Diego Cera, instructed bamboo to be used instead of the more expensive metal for the majority of the organ pipes. The horizontal trumpets are made of metal. A short organ concert is included in the price of admission. In the second week of February, organists from around the world gather here for the Bamboo Organ Festival.
