About 4km north of Naval is the turnoff to the Sampao rice terraces. While they can’t compare in scale to the Banaue terraces, they’re very photogenic with the peaks of Biliran as a backdrop. The villages of Iyusan and Salangi also have rice terraces; each are about 5km off the main road.
