Underwater World and Dolphin Lagoon
Leaping pink dolphins and spinning fur seals entertain in four daily shows at the Dolphin Lagoon, while the touch pools and tanks of Underwater World delight in between showtimes. The park complex on Sentosa Island has numerous daily feeding times at the enclosures for sharks, rays, crabs, turtles and tropical fish—ask at the ticket booth near the entrance or the information booth fronting the main building for times and locations on your visit day.
Past the hotdog stand and the outdoor turtle and ray pools is the entrance to the compact two‐story aquarium. The main floor hosts a vertical tube of colorful fish and a ray feeding station, while the connective mid‐foyer includes exhibits on the bizarre sea dragons and the home of the giant pacific octopus before funneling visitors through a top‐floor tube of open‐ocean species. A conveyor belt does the work—all you have to do is ride along while diamond trevally, emperor snapper and at least four types of shark coast inches above your head.
The park is especially popular for its up‐close‐and‐personal animal experiences, including the 30‐minute shark encounter and the only opportunity to swim with Indo‐Pacific humpbacked dolphins in Singapore. It’s possible for true ocean enthusiasts to also visit the sprawling indoor S.E.A Aquarium, one of the world’s largest and just a mile away, in the same day.
