The white sand of small Gimnyeong beach contrasts with the black-lava rocks and wind turbines spinning round nearby. It's popular in summer with families wading in the shallow waters.
Buses from Jeju-si (₩2300, 45 minutes, every 20 minutes) stop near the beach.
