The ruins of the Dutch Fort, abandoned when the Dutch were driven out of Penghu by the Ming army in 1624, are at the end of the peninsula. There's nothing left of the fort to see, but the grassy terraces offer some fine walks and even finer views. To get to the fort, follow the signs to Snakehead Hill (蛇頭山, Shétóu Shān).
