This is the most impressive off-island site thanks to its 35m-high Khmer-style central prang and overall good condition. It was built by King Prasat Thong beginning in 1630 (and taking around 20 years) to honour his mother, and the design's resemblance to Cambodia's Angkor Wat as intentional.
